What Is SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation (UK) or Search Engine Optimization (US) which is optimizing your web pages to drive targeted traffic and make them reach a more prominent position in the search results of Google or other similar search engines. SEO sharpens your ranks in organic results ensuring a website can be found in search engines for words and phrases relevant to what the end-user (You) searches.
How Can It Help Your Business?
Ranking will come automatically if your website is of extremely high quality. Google wants to get its users to the right place, as its mission is to index all the world’s online information and make it Globally accessible and useful. So if your website is the best in your market, Google wants it to rank high in the results.
Here, We’ll explain what SEO is and how we approach it at AD Global,LLC.
How Search Engine Algorithms work
Search engines are like libraries for the digital era. You might think of a search engine as a website you visit and search (or speak) a question into Google, Yahoo!, Bing, or which ever search engine you’re using. Potentially you will receive a long list of links to websites that could answer your question.
When you type a query into a search engines algorithm it works in real-time it looks through all the pages in its index and tries to return what is considered the “best” results. Google scans its index of (hundreds of trillions) of pages in order to find a set of results that will best answer your search.
Have you ever stopped to consider what’s behind that mysterious lists of links?
Google (and or all search engine you’re using) has a web crawler that goes out and gathers information about all the content they can find on the Internet. (You can always opt out of crawling altogether using a file called “robots.txt”.)
The crawling process begins with a list of web addresses from past crawls and sitemaps provided by website owners. As their crawlers visit these websites, they use links on those sites to discover other pages. Their software pays special attention to new sites, changes to existing sites and dead links. The crawlers bring all those 1s and 0s back to the search engine to build an index. That index is then fed through an algorithm that tries to match every single data with your query.
As we said earlier, organic search results are the ones that are earned through effective SEO, nonpaid actions (no advertising). These are easy to spot – the ads were clearly labeled. Some SERP ( Search Engine Results Pages ) features on Google are organic and can be influenced by SEO. These include featured snippets (a promoted organic result that displays an answer inside a box) and related questions.
Crawlers & Linking
Google needs to know that your content exists before it can even consider ranking your content. Google uses numerous ways to discover new content on the web, Their primary method is crawling. Simply, crawling is where Google follows links on the pages they already knew about to the ones they haven’t seen before. They use a program called a spider. If your homepage has a backlink from a website that is already in Google’s index. Their intentions are to crawl the links on your homepage to find other pages on your site.
Here are some things that can block Google’s web crawlers:
- Weak internal linking: Google depends on internal links to crawl all the pages on your website. Pages without any internal links often won’t get crawled.
- Robots.txt: Robots.txt is a text file that tells Google where it can and can’t go on your website. If you block your pages here, it will not crawl them.
- No followed links: Internal links with no follow tags will not get crawled by Google.
- No indexed pages: You can exclude pages from Google’s index using a no-index meta tag or HTTP header within your sitemap. If any other pages on your Website only have internal links there’s a chance that Google won’t find them.
On-Page SEO factors
Ranking your website is partially determined by on-page factors. On-page SEO is all things on your website you can actually change and make an impact from. These factors include Some technical and content-related aspects as well, like the structure or the quality in the copy on your website. These are all important on-page SEO factors.
Meta Tag Description
Meta descriptions have been an important optimization detail. Meta descriptions also known as meta tags provide a description of what the page is generally about. Often displayed in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Page) underneath the title of the page.
Title Tag Description
A title tag is known as an HTML tag that exists in the head section of each webpage. It provides initial context as to what the subject is of a particular page. It is featured in the search engine results pages as well as in the browser window. The title tag by itself has little impact on organic rankings, this why it’s sometimes neglected.
Header Tag Description
Header tags (H1-H6) are HTML components used to identify headings and subheadings within your content from other types of text like paragraph text. Header tags are not as important for your site rankings as they used to be, but these tags still serve an important function for your SEO. They can indirectly impact your rankings by Making your content easier and more enjoyable for visitors to read.
A clean URL clearly shows the information on the page. This information is used to determine the relevancy of a given web page by the search engines. Short URL’s make an ideal applicant for search results.
Try Analyzing the types of words and how frequently it is searched by prospective customers to find certain brands, services or products. Understand your customer’s intent and users expectations from their search phrases.

Quality Content is effective in both attracting search engines and strengthening your organization while making connections with website visitors. The more relevant & quality content sections you have on your website is the more likely search engines will want to rank your webpages higher on the search engine results.
Internal link building, or hyperlinks to different content on your site, will help search engines learn more about your website. For instance, if you are writing a post regarding the value of a specific product and or service, you can link out to the product or service page in your blog post. Have you ever seen Google search results with star ratings, reviews or images, then you’ve observed Personally the effect of Schema markup. You can mark up specific objects, places, things and more.
Generating a sitemap and submitting your sitemap to search engines can both further improve your website’s crawl ability and give your search engines a better understanding of your content.
Google recently made Page Speed even MORE important than ever. Google has stated that web page loading speed is an SEO ranking factor. Make sure your website doesn’t take more than 4 seconds to load: Statistically, more than half of users will not re-visit a website that takes longer than 4 seconds to load. You can boost your site speed by switching to faster and faster hosting, using a CDN and compressing images.
If a website visitor hits there back button immediately after landing on a page, it tells Google this is a low-quality page. That’s why Google sizes up your content’s quality. Increase your average idle time by writing longer, engaging content that keeps people reading.
Off-Page SEO factors
Off-page SEO factors are included in your rankings as well. These factors include links from other websites, active social media presence, and other marketing actions outside your own website. Off-page SEO can be somewhat difficult to control. The most prominent Off-page factors are the number and quality of links pointing towards your website. The more quality & relevant sites that link to your website, the higher your position ranks in Google will be.
The Greater the “authority” of the linking page, the more authority it passes onto the pages to which it links to. However, a link from a high-authority page is worth more than any links from a low-authority page.
Business Citation (Name, Address, Phone)
Business Citations also are known as NAP Citations (Name, Address, Phone). NAP citations are online mentions of your business, which also display your business name, address, and phone number. Business citation signs are one of the top local off-page ranking factors for local businesses. This means if you are a local business and want to rank for local results or in the regular organic search results then citations are essential.
Social signals do not affect your ranking as much. The real reason why social signals do not have a major impact on your rankings is that it’s easy to manipulate social signals. With websites like Fiverr, You can buy thousands of social shares for a few dollars. Ordinarily, things that are really easy to control is not good for a decent ranking factor. Certain social shares do have a positive influence on rankings as one social share leads to more exposure for your content, and a greater presence leads to more links, mentions, and other off-page SEO factors.
Dofollow & Nofollow
Google will not transfer PageRank across no-followed links (example, any links with a rel=“nofollow” tag), so it generally will benefit you more from building up followed (“dofollow”) links.
